The opportunity

We are looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join our team in South Africa. This is a full-time, hybrid role where you will play a vital part in our squad by delivering high-quality code and ensuring our platform remains robust and reliable. You will fit right in if you enjoy solving real-world problems and are eager to grow your technical expertise within a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Your work will directly impact our ability to support enterprise-level clients as they navigate the evolving landscape of digital partnerships.

A day in the life

• You will develop, test, and maintain software components while actively participating in both independent coding tasks and collaborative pair programming sessions.
• You will take ownership of quality by writing comprehensive unit, functional, and integration tests to ensure our platform remains stable and performant.
• You will collaborate closely with your distributed team during sprint planning and design sessions to triage bugs, fix broken builds, and assist with production deployments.

Who you are

You are a motivated developer with 1 to 2 years of experience who is ready to take the next step in your career. You possess a strong foundation in computer science, ideally supported by a relevant degree or equivalent professional experience. You are comfortable working in an Agile environment and have a genuine desire to build your expertise using Java, Spring, and SQL. You are a natural team player who values documentation, takes initiative, and is always looking for ways to improve your craft. Proficiency in English is essential for communicating with our global team.
