The role

We are seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a junior-level opportunity designed for someone eager to bridge the gap between software development and DevOps. You will work within a supportive environment that balances the stability of a large, global organization with the agility of a team where your voice truly matters.

Core responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom applications that assist our R&D teams in managing information and deploying development or testing environments.
• Build and manage GitHub actions to ensure our deployment pipelines consistently meet high-quality release criteria.
• Create scripts and APIs to integrate data from various sources into MongoDB or relational databases, while learning to utilize infrastructure tools like Terraform and Kubernetes.

Skills and experience

To excel in this role, you should have a degree in Computer Science or a related field along with a strong desire to learn. We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

• Practical experience programming in at least one object-oriented language, whether gained through industry work or academic projects.
• Proficiency with API calls and experience using a scripted language.
• Familiarity with source code repositories such as GitHub.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills in English.
• A willingness to learn modern development tools including Java, NodeJS, React, and various security and cloud technologies.
