Responsibilities
- Partner with design, engineering, and QA to build features that delight users, attract new customers, and improve retention.
- Own project delivery and quality by meeting timelines, escalating issues promptly, and ensuring features are well received.
- Provide internal support and spot product interdependencies across a growing portion of the platform.
- Keep day-to-day web-team operations running smoothly with a focus on quality, clear communication, and on-time delivery.
- Write clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for design, engineering, and QA teams.
- Create, track, and adjust project timelines while raising concerns when delivery is at risk.
- Lead sprint ceremonies from both a product and project standpoint.
- Align with business and engineering stakeholders on goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with UX to design intuitive solutions that exceed user expectations and support business growth.
- Work with marketing to shape go-to-market plans and internal or external release communications.
- Conduct user acceptance testing and take part in release activities.
- Analyze post-launch results and share findings along with recommendations.
- Maintain and prioritize a backlog of quality issues using input from stakeholders.
- Review bugs from QA and customer enhancement requests to organize the backlog and escalate when needed.
- Collect metrics and support quarterly business reviews for the web product area.
- Contribute to quarterly roadmap planning by offering feedback on timelines, obstacles, and potential enhancements.
Must-haves
- 1–2 years of product management experience with at least one major feature shipped to customers.
- Strong execution skills to move projects from start to finish while removing blockers.
- Critical thinking to surface ambiguity, challenge assumptions, and clear obstacles for the team.
- Ability to prioritize across competing requests and identify dependencies within the product domain.
- Effective mediation and communication skills to balance multiple stakeholder needs and articulate customer problems precisely.
- Customer empathy that informs thorough requirements and anticipates user expectations.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Data-driven mindset that validates decisions with evidence whenever possible.
- Fluency in English.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in higher education as a teaching assistant, professor, or technology support team member.
- Hands-on experience working in an Agile environment that balances long-term planning with ongoing adaptation.
Benefits
- Fully remote work arrangement.
