We are currently seeking an Associate Piping Engineer to join our team in a full-time, hybrid capacity.
Key outcomes
- Assist the discipline lead in preparing sketches, construction documents, and various drawings.
- Support the interpretation of engineering specifications and drawings during field visits.
- Ensure high standards of quality by reviewing design documents and verifying field conditions.
- Develop a strong understanding of industry codes, piping specifications, and P&ID symbology.
- Identify piping components and contribute to the development of basic piping design skills.
- Manage your time effectively to ensure project tasks remain within the allotted budget.
- Collaborate with the Piping and Stress department to resolve construction problems and improve design constructability.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical or General Engineering.
- Zero to three years of professional experience in a mechanical or general engineering role.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
- Foundational knowledge of the Piping and Stress Engineering discipline.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Microstation, along with solid Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A self-motivated and dependable nature with a commitment to high ethical standards.
- The ability to work effectively with others and proactively seek guidance or research solutions as needed.
