Role at a glance
We are seeking an Associate Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a junior-level position based in South Africa. You will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing time between home and our office to ensure we stay connected while delivering excellent results.
Your impact
- You will build and maintain scalable, high-performance systems by working across the entire application stack, from the front-end interface to the back-end logic.
- You will design and develop user-facing features using modern frameworks while ensuring seamless integration with our server-side services.
- You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and quality assurance engineers, to deliver high-quality solutions that meet our shared objectives.
What you'll need
To succeed in this role, you should be comfortable working in an English-speaking environment and possess the following technical foundation:
- Strong familiarity with JavaScript and TypeScript for both front-end and back-end development.
- Practical experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular.
- Exposure to Node.js and the ability to build and manage RESTful APIs.
- Experience working with both relational databases like PostgreSQL and NoSQL options like MongoDB.
- A solid understanding of Git for version control and experience with various testing frameworks to ensure code quality.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and distributed systems.
