At OneEnergy we are on a mission to make clean energy the leading source of electricity for consumers and utilities. We develop solar energy projects across the United States in community solar, distributed generation, and large utility-scale segments. Our diverse project pipeline, multiple locations, and multidisciplinary team set us apart as we work to deliver reliable, sustainable power at scale.
About the Role
We are hiring an Associate, Engineering on a full-time basis. In this position you will participate in and lead utility-scale photovoltaic power plant designs, working within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team that values strong technical knowledge, precise AutoCAD drafting, and close coordination with land development activities.

- Collaborate with senior engineers to create and optimize preliminary PV system layouts, generate shape and KMZ files, prepare electrical single-line diagrams with conductor and overcurrent protection sizing, and produce Pvsyst energy production reports aligned with design assumptions.
- Work with project development teams to adjust plans as site constraints evolve, coordinate with outside civil, electrical, and geotechnical consultants, and contribute a developing specialty skill that complements the broader engineering group.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- At least three years of experience designing and drafting in AutoCAD, including demonstrated proficiency with layers, blocks, coordinate systems, dimensioning, and industry standards.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D or AutoCAD Map 3D, Google Earth or similar mapping and GIS tools, and public land or environmental databases is advantageous.
- Strong quantitative analysis, critical thinking, and verbal and written communication skills, along with proven attention to detail and the organizational capacity to manage multiple projects.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 is required; experience with project management tools and CRM platforms such as Salesforce is a plus.
- Self-motivated, accountable, and collaborative approach with a demonstrated record of building trust and respect with internal and external stakeholders.
