Associate Director of Engineering at Recursion

We are Recursion, a clinical-stage TechBio company dedicated to industrializing drug discovery by decoding biology. By utilizing our proprietary platform, the Recursion OS, we analyze massive biological and chemical datasets to uncover relationships that were previously hidden. What is this role?

We are seeking an Associate Director of Engineering to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a Director-level position based in the United States. You will work in a hybrid environment, spending about half of your time collaborating in person at our office. In this role, you will manage multiple engineering teams, acting as a strategic partner to help us solve complex problems in the drug discovery space.

• Drive the delivery of scientific outcomes by applying your engineering expertise to facilitate our mission of decoding biology.
• Foster professional growth within your teams by providing clear expectations, consistent coaching, and accountability for their development.

What makes you a great fit?

To succeed in this role, you should have at least 5 years of professional engineering experience and 3 years of experience in engineering management. While a background in biology or chemistry is not required, we value intellectual curiosity and a people-first mindset. You should be comfortable collaborating across functions to complete large-scale projects. Our technical environment relies on Python, JavaScript (React), PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud, so an interest in working with these technologies is essential.
