What you'll be doing
- Lead multidisciplinary teams of data scientists, engineers, and computational experts to build and maintain robust systems for biomedical research.
- Drive technical strategy by establishing reference architectures for AI, machine learning, and data platforms that prioritize long-term sustainability and scientific impact.
- Bridge the gap between research prototypes and reliable production environments by implementing rigorous engineering practices, including CI/CD, observability, and automated testing.
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in technical leadership and hands-on system design. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least eight years of experience in data science, machine learning, software engineering, or a related computational field.
- A minimum of five years of leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing multidisciplinary teams and guiding technical direction.
- Deep expertise in data engineering, AI/ML architectures, and production operations, including experience with containerization and cloud-based deployments.
- The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both scientific stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Fluency in English.
