The role
We are seeking a senior-level Assistant Vice President of DevOps – Data to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis. In this leadership position, you will oversee the integration of project functions and resources across the entire product life cycle, from initial planning and development to testing, deployment, and ongoing support. You will play a critical role in designing efficient pipelines for our software and infrastructure while managing key data systems. This role is ideal for a highly motivated leader who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and collaborating across functional teams to optimize data architecture.
Core responsibilities
- Architect and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for our data infrastructure using Terraform and Gitlab.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of DevOps engineers across both onsite and offshore locations to ensure high performance and operational excellence.
- Design and deploy containerized application platforms utilizing Docker and Kubernetes to support our evolving cloud-based solutions.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong technical background and a commitment to operational efficiency. Required qualifications include:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering.
- At least 12 years of professional experience in DevOps engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services, including EC2, ECS, VPC, EMR, Lambda, Glue, Batch, RDS, and Redshift.
- Extensive expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Python and JavaScript.
- Strong knowledge of jFrog Artifactory for managing binaries and artifacts.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and communicate effectively with business stakeholders.
Compensation and benefits
The base salary range for this position is $110,000 to $209,500 USD. Beyond base pay, we offer a comprehensive total rewards package designed to support your well-being and professional growth, including:
