What is this role?
We are seeking an Assistant Vice President of Engineering to join our team in a full-time, executive-level capacity. This is a hybrid role where you will take complete ownership of your team's performance and ensure our engineering output aligns with our broader company goals. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of our platform while leading high-performing teams.
What will you do?
- You will own all engineering aspects of your team's product delivery, ensuring that we consistently provide high-quality software that meets our organizational objectives.
- You will build and lead inclusive recruitment processes to attract top-tier talent, while actively nurturing the professional development of current team members and selecting effective middle managers.
- You will drive strategic alignment by setting measurable quarterly OKRs, maintaining strong relationships with executive staff, and ensuring all operations comply with our security, access management, and change management policies.
What makes you a great fit?
To be successful in this role, you should bring a blend of technical expertise and leadership experience. We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- At least 10 years of experience in building software applications.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience managing development teams.
- At least 2 years of direct experience working within the health technology sector.
- A genuine passion for mentorship and developing the next generation of leaders.
- Proficiency in English.
- A strong grasp of business strategy, team building, and operational quality.

For our Canada-based applicants, the base salary range for this position is $220,000 to $250,000 CAD, depending on your specific skills and experience. Beyond compensation, we offer a supportive environment that includes:
