Assistant Treasurer - Senior Principal Consultant at ACA Group

We are looking for a Senior Principal Consultant to join our Fund Officer group at ACA Group, the leading governance, risk, and compliance advisor in the financial services industry. In this full-time, on-site position, you will serve as a key point of contact for our clients, providing expert support to Treasurers and Principal Financial Officers while ensuring our high standards for regulatory excellence are met.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and review SEC and IRS filings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Attend board and committee meetings, as well as in-person due diligence visits.
• Conduct high-level reviews of shareholder reports, Form N-1A updates, budgets, and dividend distributions.
• Manage client relationships and provide technical guidance to your team members.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external service providers to resolve review notes.
• Participate in quarterly disclosure controls and procedures calls.
• Report potential compliance or policy violations to senior management.

Must-haves

• A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
• Between 10 and 15 years of professional experience in 1940 Act fund administration, auditing, or shareholder reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in SEC reporting and auditing processes.
• Strong analytical and project management abilities, with a focus on meeting tight deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• The ability to work independently and exercise discretion on significant matters.
• A willingness to travel as required by client needs.

• A CPA designation is highly desirable.
