Assistant Manager - Production (Motion & Video Strategy) at Meesho

The role

We are looking for a lead-level Assistant Manager - Production (Motion & Video Strategy) to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in India. In this role, you will define the vision for our motion and video content, specifically aiming to captivate audiences across Tier 2, 3, and 4 markets. You will be responsible for scaling our creative output while solving complex communication challenges through high-performing, contextual video formats. This is a leadership position that requires a GenAI-first mindset and the ability to build and mentor a world-class team of video specialists.

Core responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end motion and video strategy across all marketing channels, social platforms, and in-app experiences to ensure our storytelling is both relatable and impactful for Bharat’s next billion users.
• Integrate GenAI tools into every stage of the production workflow, including ideation, visual refinement, and scaling content production to drive efficiency and creative excellence.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of motion designers and editors, establishing clear quality standards and execution playbooks to maintain brand consistency at scale.

Skills and experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Animation, Design, Film, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in motion design, video production, or creative direction, with a portfolio that demonstrates success in performance marketing and campaign storytelling.
• Expert-level proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects and Premiere Pro.
• Mandatory hands-on experience using GenAI tools for video generation, localization, and creative iteration.
• A deep understanding of the digital behaviors and cultural nuances of users in India’s Tier 2, 3, and 4 regions.
• Proven ability to manage teams and collaborate across product, growth, and marketing functions to hit key performance indicators.
