Role at a glance

We are hiring an Assistant Manager, Human Resources for a full-time position based on-site in Malaysia. This is a manager-level role that requires a blend of technical payroll expertise and strong leadership skills to ensure our HR operations run smoothly and effectively.

Your impact

• Take full ownership of the end-to-end payroll cycle, ensuring that every payment is accurate, timely, and fully compliant with local statutory requirements like EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and income tax.
• Cultivate a high-performance environment by coaching team members, fostering collaboration, and ensuring our service delivery remains consistent and precise.
• Drive operational efficiency by identifying bottlenecks, implementing smarter systems for request tracking, and utilizing analytical thinking to improve our overall workflow.

What you'll need

To be successful in this role, you should bring a solid foundation in HR operations and a proactive mindset. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• At least 4 years of experience managing payroll processes, with a minimum of 2 years spent in a people management capacity.
• A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Technical proficiency in HRIS platforms and Google Workspace.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to think critically when solving complex problems.
• Excellent communication skills in English, combined with a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to operational excellence.
• A deep understanding of current payroll regulations and statutory compliance standards.
