What you bring
As a Senior Assets Protocol Engineer, you will work in a full-time capacity from anywhere in the world. Your primary focus will be the design and evolution of the Taproot Assets Protocol, requiring a deep understanding of distributed systems and peer-to-peer networking. Your core responsibilities will include the following:
- Designing and implementing the primary features and algorithms for the Taproot Assets Protocol.
- Contributing to mission-critical cryptocurrency daemons developed in Go.
- Collaborating with our team on the research and design of future protocol iterations while engaging with the wider community.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with a strong engineering background who is comfortable taking ownership of complex projects. You should possess a solid grasp of applied cryptography and the Bitcoin protocol, including smart contracting functionality and application standards like PSBTs. Proficiency in Go is highly desired, though experience with C or C++ is also relevant. We value candidates who prioritize high-quality engineering practices, including thorough testing and clear documentation. A background in open source collaboration and a genuine interest in financial software will set you apart as an ideal candidate.
