To support this mission, we are looking for a dedicated Senior Asset Management Specialist to join our team in Farmington Hills, Michigan. This is a full-time, on-site position where you will play a vital role in the lifecycle management of our technology assets.
Key outcomes
- Maintain a comprehensive and accurate inventory of all organizational assets, including detailed records of serial numbers, user assignments, and physical locations.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from forecasting needs and vendor selection to negotiating pricing and fulfilling orders.
- Oversee the secure deployment, collection, and retirement of hardware, ensuring all devices are properly configured, wiped of data, and recycled or repurposed in an environmentally responsible manner.
- Utilize JAMF to manage device configurations, security settings, and software deployments across our mobile fleet.
- Coordinate the safe packaging and shipping of assets to team members, maintaining meticulous records of all logistics.
- Collaborate with our IT support team to troubleshoot hardware issues, manage repairs, and ensure all devices remain compliant with security policies.
- Generate analytical reports on inventory usage and trends to help optimize our procurement strategy and meet personal KPI metrics.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven background in asset management, specifically regarding mobile devices and hardware.
- Strong technical proficiency with iOS, iPadOS, and Apple hardware, alongside a working knowledge of PC and Mac environments.
- Hands-on experience with JAMF Pro for mobile device management.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and G Suite.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- A strong work ethic characterized by high attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Physical ability to lift, push, or pull up to 30 pounds, as well as the ability to bend and reach as needed for inventory management.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience using BlueTally or similar asset management software platforms.
- Familiarity with ITIL or other recognized IT service management frameworks.
- Professional certifications related to asset management.
- Experience with additional mobile device management (MDM) solutions.
