About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Area Director of Human Resources to join our team in a full-time capacity. Based at the Double Tree by Hilton Tysons McLean and the Courtyard by Marriott Tysons McLean, you will serve as a vital leader overseeing all human resource functions for these properties. This senior-level position requires a blend of strategic business acumen and hands-on generalist expertise to attract, retain, and develop the talent that defines our brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full recruitment and retention lifecycle for both hourly and salaried staff, ensuring fair hiring practices and implementing recognition programs that keep our team motivated.
- Manage compensation and benefits administration, including conducting wage surveys to maintain market competitiveness and coordinating with our payroll department to ensure accurate processing.
- Oversee labor cost management and training initiatives, utilizing data to identify development needs and ensuring our operations remain both profitable and compliant with all labor laws.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, with a Master’s degree considered a plus. Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR are highly preferred.
- At least three years of direct Hotel Human Resource experience, preferably within the hospitality or service industry.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills, paired with a professional presence and the ability to manage a physical workload that includes lifting or moving up to 20 pounds occasionally.
