We are looking for a Senior Architecture Business Operations Manager to join our team in a full-time, hybrid capacity within the United States. Ware Malcomb is a globally recognized, full-service design firm established in 1972 that provides architecture, interior design, civil engineering, and planning services to a diverse range of corporate and institutional clients.
Responsibilities
- Act as a key business partner to office and studio leaders by overseeing financial performance, project portfolios, and overall practice health.
- Collaborate on organizational development, including long-term staffing roadmaps, hiring needs, and talent acquisition.
- Manage the opportunity pipeline by reviewing proposals, ensuring competitive fee structures, and maintaining accurate forecasts.
- Oversee project profitability by monitoring work plans to ensure a minimum 15% profit margin.
- Facilitate weekly project management meetings to address resource allocation, accounts receivable, and quality control.
- Review and approve construction documents while serving as a technical resource for the staff.
- Foster a positive office culture, manage internal training programs, and address human resources matters as they arise.
- Coordinate with corporate enterprise teams, including accounting, IT, and marketing, to optimize service delivery.
Must-haves
- At least 8 years of professional practice experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of project management experience leading successful teams.
- Strong proficiency in English.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively partner with leadership and staff.
- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment.
Nice-to-haves
- A bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, or civil engineering.
