Key outcomes
- Collaborate with Product Management and Development teams on technical design and problem-solving to deliver compelling solutions for complex challenges.
- Optimize and enhance existing infrastructure, architecture, and processes to fully leverage cloud platforms.
- Own all aspects of feature implementation, from initial design through development, deployment, production support, and ongoing maintenance.
- Design and build systems that are scalable, highly available, and easily maintainable.
- Develop multi-tenant RESTful services at scale.
Requirements
- 12 or more years of commercial software development experience in an object-oriented language such as Java, C#, or Go.
- Hands-on programming experience with many AWS APIs and technologies, including EC2, IAM, Route 53, Auto Scaling, Elastic Load Balancing, Elastic Container Service, S3, EBS, VPC, Security Groups, and EKS.
- Current hands-on development experience with open-source technologies including Spring, Maven, Git, Jenkins, JUnit, Tomcat, and Linux.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Linux Shell and Python.
- Experience with immutable infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code patterns and technologies, including Docker, Ansible, Packer, Vagrant, and the AWS SDK for Java.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to mentor team members and improve overall team performance.
- Proficiency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience building enterprise software for business use.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies.
Compensation
Base pay ranges from $200,000 to $300,000. Actual compensation may vary within or outside this range depending on experience and location. This position may also be eligible for variable bonus and stock bonus in addition to base salary.
