We are looking for a Senior Applied Scientist to join our Monetization team and help us shape the future of home care through data-driven innovation.
Key outcomes
- Lead and execute applied science projects that deliver measurable business impact.
- Architect, deploy, and maintain machine learning systems and algorithms within a production environment.
- Design and conduct rigorous experiments to analyze product performance and marketing effectiveness.
- Interpret complex data sets, including both structured and unstructured information, to derive actionable insights.
- Partner with engineers, economists, and data scientists to uphold high statistical standards.
- Balance the need for rapid execution with the necessity for scientific rigor in all technical solutions.
- Provide technical mentorship to fellow team members to foster professional growth.
Requirements
- Expertise in machine learning techniques and the ability to build algorithms for complex, dynamic human environments.
- Strong background in price theory and auctions.
- Proficiency in Python for coding, debugging, and data analysis.
- Solid understanding of statistics, experimental design, optimization, and causal inference.
- The ability to decompose intricate problems and navigate trade-offs to ensure successful project delivery.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional partners at various levels of technical expertise.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of predictive modeling and causal inference.
- Experience working with large-scale distributed systems.
- A Ph.D. in a relevant scientific or technical field.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $137,000 to $177,000. Actual compensation is determined based on individual qualifications, job level, and specific skills. In addition to salary, we offer a remote work environment and an employee assistance program to support your well-being.
