Role at a glance
We are looking for a Senior Applied Scientist to join our Customer Growth team. This is a full-time, remote position available to candidates anywhere. You will be joining a high-impact team where you will have full ownership over your domain, helping us solve complex challenges in machine learning and marketplace optimization.
Your impact
- Architect and deploy machine learning systems directly into production to drive business growth.
- Design and execute experiments to analyze both structured and unstructured data, ensuring our product and marketing strategies are backed by rigorous science.
- Collaborate across teams with engineering, marketing, and economics partners to mentor other scientists and maintain a high standard of statistical practice.
What you'll need
- Expert-level knowledge of machine learning techniques and a strong command of Python for building and debugging code.
- Deep understanding of statistics, including optimization, experimental design, and causal inference.
- A proven ability to lead technical roadmaps, mentor peers, and communicate complex concepts to cross-functional partners.
- A pragmatic approach to problem-solving that balances the need for scientific rigor with the speed required for business execution.
Perks and compensation
We offer a competitive salary range based on your location:
- San Francisco, San Jose, NYC, or Seattle: $169,600 - $219,500
- Austin, Washington DC, or CA, MA, NJ, WA states: $152,700 - $197,600
- All other US locations: $144,200 - $186,600
