Intrinsic is Alphabet’s initiative dedicated to transforming the industrial robotics landscape by placing software and data at the heart of the field. We are a multidisciplinary team of engineers and researchers working to make robotics more intelligent and accessible for a wide range of businesses and developers.
Responsibilities
- Develop innovative motion planning strategies for single and multi-robot systems, building upon existing prototypes.
- Apply advancements in machine learning, including transformer models and graph nets, to create data-driven planning systems.
- Write and implement high-performance algorithms using Python, C++, and Jax.
- Collaborate with industrial partners to translate complex challenges into reliable, real-world robotic solutions.
- Analyze recent research publications and integrate promising methodologies into our development pipeline.
Must-haves
- A Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in machine learning, classical motion planning, or robot motion planning.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python, with a strong preference for Jax experience.
- Practical experience working with physical simulation environments like MuJoCo, IsaacSim, Gazebo, or Bullet.
- A proven research background, including at least one publication in a peer-reviewed academic journal or conference.
- Fluency in English.
Nice-to-haves
- A PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or a similar technical discipline.
- Four or more years of applied experience specifically focused on machine learning for robot motion planning.
- Demonstrated skill in designing and implementing large-scale, complex machine learning systems that utilize highly parallelized algorithms and significant data volumes.
Benefits
The salary range for this full-time, on-site position is $200,000 to $230,000 USD.
