• Design and build machine learning models that accurately characterize and predict the progression of diseases.
• Apply and refine our proprietary model architectures using real-world clinical datasets.
• Translate complex technical findings into clear insights for both internal teams and external partners.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the latest advancements in machine learning to continuously improve our modeling techniques.
• Act as a representative for our organization within the broader scientific and research community.

Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics, or a closely related technical field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in developing machine learning models and applying them to solve complex, real-world challenges.
• Strong foundational knowledge of software engineering principles.
• High proficiency in the Python ecosystem for data science and machine learning.
• A proven history of successfully executing machine learning projects in either an academic or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to exploring new tools, techniques, and ideas.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred qualifications

• Active contributions to established open-source machine learning frameworks or tools.
• Experience working with unsupervised learning, energy-based models, natural language processing, large language models, reinforcement learning, or optimization theory.
• Prior exposure to healthcare data or clinical machine learning applications.
• Practical familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure.
