As a Forbes AI 50 company backed by investors like Andreesen Horowitz and Bessemer Venture Partners, we are looking for an Applied Machine Learning Research Scientist to join our team in a hybrid capacity. You will work alongside experts who have shaped modern machine learning at organizations like Google, Meta, and Lyft to build the next generation of AI-driven solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead experimentation and ideation to develop innovative technologies that enhance our core products.
- Build, optimize, and deploy machine learning models into production environments while collaborating closely with software engineers.
- Conduct hands-on analysis and modeling of massive datasets to extract actionable insights.
- Design and execute A/B experiments, collect data, and perform rigorous statistical analysis.
- Create scalable, automated processes for model development, validation, and serving.
- Mentor team members and serve as a technical resource for cross-functional groups.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific challenges and co-create tailored machine learning solutions.
- Present your findings to leadership and at prominent scientific venues.
- Stay active in market research to identify new technological differentiators for our platform.
Must-haves
- A PhD in Computer Science with a specialization in Machine Learning.
- At least 2 years of experience in a research lab or startup environment, with a proven ability to turn research into practical applications.
- A strong track record of machine learning contributions, including publications in reputable journals or conferences.
- Deep proficiency in Python, PyTorch, Spark, NumPy, SciPy, and scikit-learn.
- Experience working with vector databases to enhance machine learning algorithms.
- Fluency in English.
