Role at a glance

We are looking for a Senior Applied Machine Learning Intern to join our team in Paris. This is a full-time, on-site position designed as a pre-hire opportunity, with the specific goal of transitioning into a permanent role upon completion.

Your impact

• Collaborate with our engineering team to unlock the true potential of recommender systems for our diverse customer base.
• Solve complex machine learning challenges by diving deep into datasets, training robust models, and delivering high-quality recommendations.
• Contribute directly to the evolution of our core platform, using every unique dataset as an opportunity to refine our tech stack and improve performance.

What you'll need

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong technical foundation and a passion for data-driven problem solving. We require:

• Proficiency in Python, along with the NumPy and pandas libraries.
• Strong skills in data exploration, visualization, feature extraction, and model tuning.
• A solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals, including objective functions, regularization, gradient descent, optimization techniques, and the curse of dimensionality.
• Experience with ML feature engineering, such as tokenization, pre-processing, aggregation, and pre-trained embeddings.
• Fluency in English for both written and spoken communication.

While not required, we would love to see experience with recommender systems, professional software development practices like git and design patterns, or previous roles in machine learning or customer-facing environments.
