About the Role

We are looking for an Applied Cryptography Intern to join our RippleX Research team for the summer of 2025. This is an internship position designed for a student currently enrolled in a PhD program. You will play a vital role in exploring next-generation cryptographic protocols and helping us advance the state of the art within the XRPL ecosystem and the broader crypto landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and research advanced cryptographic algorithms to support the evolution of decentralized technologies.
• Design technical specifications and academic papers while developing proof of concepts to validate your research findings.
• Collaborate closely with our engineering and product teams to implement your research and drive critical projects toward a tangible roadmap.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong foundation in both research and technical implementation. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• Current enrollment in a PhD program focusing on Cryptography, Computer Security, Computer Science, or Mathematics.
• Deep knowledge of elliptic curve and pairing-based cryptography, threshold cryptography, and multi-party computation.
• Familiarity with privacy-enhancing technologies such as zero-knowledge primitives, differential privacy, and homomorphic encryption.
• Proficiency in programming languages including Python, Rust, C/C++, or Go.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.

This position is available Anywhere and operates on a Hybrid work schedule.
