Valence is a Series A B2B SaaS company backed by Insight Partners, and we have developed the first AI-native coaching platform for enterprise leaders. We are currently seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer to join our team in a full-time, hybrid capacity within the United States. We work with global industry leaders like Coca-Cola, Nestlé, and Citi to reshape the future of workplace development, and we are looking for someone who thrives on solving complex, high-velocity challenges.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build enterprise-grade conversational AI solutions designed for leadership coaching.
- Design and implement novel user experiences by leveraging Large Language Models in creative ways.
- Evaluate and refine existing LLM-based models to ensure high levels of effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability.
- Deploy LLM-powered agents capable of adapting to complex conversational contexts and providing accurate, relevant guidance.
- Integrate diverse data sources to deepen the contextual understanding of our AI models.
- Collaborate with product teams to analyze user behavior and prioritize development cycles.
- Operate across the full stack to write, review, and deploy code as necessary.
- Streamline data science workflows to support rapid iteration and high-quality output.
Must-haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in software engineering and AI/ML development.
- Strong proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks for training and serving models.
- Practical knowledge of conversational systems, NLP, and information retrieval.
- Experience deploying ML systems in the cloud using tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience building applications powered by Generative AI and LLMs.
- Familiarity with data science libraries and ML lifecycle tools such as MLflow or Weights & Biases.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Fluency in English.
