We are HPR, a premier provider of high-performance and ultra-low latency infrastructure solutions for the capital markets. Our managed services empower tier-1 financial institutions to execute trades with maximum speed and efficiency. We are currently experiencing a period of rapid growth and are looking for a Full Time Applications Engineer APAC to join our team in Sydney, Australia. This is a hands-on position where you will tackle complex technical challenges for some of the most prominent financial organizations in the world.
Responsibilities
- Build deep technical expertise in our specialized product portfolio to provide exceptional support to our global client base.
- Act as a primary point of contact for customers, resolving intricate technical issues through phone, email, and web communication.
- Collaborate closely with our internal engineering teams to accelerate problem resolution and integrate feedback from client interactions into our product development cycle.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong technical foundation and a passion for problem-solving. We require the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least one year of experience in a role supporting business critical applications.
- Advanced proficiency in Linux systems administration.
- Practical experience with Python and Shell scripting.
- A solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP, switch configuration, and routing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, combined with the initiative to work autonomously.
- While not required, we value candidates who have experience with C programming, FPGA technology, project management, and tools like Jira or Confluence.
