We are currently looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to join our global team in India. This is an on-site, full-time role where you will serve as a vital advocate for our customers, ensuring they receive high-level technical guidance and resolution for complex software issues.
Key outcomes
- Provide expert-level support for the Zuora Billing product, acting as a subject matter expert for your colleagues.
- Manage the full lifecycle of customer issues, from initial contact via tickets or Zoom to final resolution.
- Collaborate with our product and engineering teams to address bugs and advocate for features that improve the customer experience.
- Participate in a 24/7 global support rotation, which includes handling urgent escalations and working scheduled shifts.
- Contribute to the Zuora Community by sharing solution articles and responding to customer inquiries.
- Maintain ownership of complex technical challenges, ensuring they are prioritized correctly based on their impact.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in technical or application support.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent significant technical experience.
- Proven technical proficiency with SaaS application technologies, including REST API, SQL, XML, SOAP API, Java, JavaScript, and web services.
- Experience working with financial or billing enterprise software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- A history of working in rotational, 24/7 shift environments.
- A proactive, positive mindset and the ability to remain calm while navigating high-pressure situations.
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with SaaS integration workflows.
- Direct experience working with the Zuora Billing platform.
- Proficiency with tools such as Zendesk, Slack, Kibana, Postman, and database query languages.
