Role at a glance
We are seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role based in the United Kingdom, where you will work closely with our developers to build secure-by-design software and protect our infrastructure.
Your impact
- Conduct comprehensive security reviews across our product portfolio, utilizing whitebox, greybox, and blackbox assessment techniques.
- Serve as the primary security subject matter expert for engineering teams, guiding them through threat modeling, risk assessment, and the implementation of robust security controls.
- Lead high-level strategic initiatives, such as developing security automation or enhancing software supply chain integrity, to eliminate entire classes of vulnerabilities across the organization.
What you'll need
To succeed in this role, you should be a self-motivated problem solver with a deep passion for information security. We value candidates who can communicate effectively with engineering teams and adapt quickly to complex, large-scale environments.
- Professional experience in software development using modern languages such as Java, Golang, JavaScript, or Python.
- Proven ability to evaluate code for vulnerabilities and perform black-box testing on web applications.
- Experience working with complex architectures, specifically SOA and micro-services.
- Proficiency in using static code analysis platforms to identify and resolve security weaknesses.
- A history of designing and shipping production-ready software.
