We are looking for a dedicated Application Security Engineer to join our team of 800-plus professionals in Portugal, helping us scale our impact as we continue to innovate in the digital health space.
What you'll be doing
- You will collaborate directly with our development teams to ensure that robust security practices are woven into every stage of the software development lifecycle.
- You will take charge of prioritizing risks and vulnerabilities across our assets, delegating necessary patches and remediation tasks to the appropriate teams.
- You will monitor, analyze, and triage security logs to identify and respond to potential incidents, while also building or integrating tools to maintain continuous oversight of our ecosystem.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in security engineering and a passion for protecting our members and clients. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in application security engineering.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Solid knowledge of web application security vulnerabilities and industry best practices.
- Hands-on experience using tools such as Snyk, Burp Suite, and DefectDojo.
- Proficiency in scripting and coding, with a strong preference for Python.
- Practical experience conducting penetration testing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Bonus points if you hold security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CSSLP, OSCP, or GWAPT.
