The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Application Security Engineer to join our team in the United Kingdom. In this role, you will act as a security subject matter expert, guiding our architects and developers to build robust, secure-by-default systems. You will have the autonomy to drive large-scale security initiatives, influence product design, and protect mission-critical information. A day in the life

• You will conduct comprehensive security reviews, including whitebox, greybox, and blackbox assessments, to harden our product portfolio against dedicated adversaries.
• You will lead threat modeling sessions and collaborate with engineering teams to assess risks and implement effective security controls during the early stages of product design.
• You will own and execute strategic security initiatives, such as developing security automation, improving software supply chain integrity, or finding novel ways to identify and resolve vulnerabilities.

Who you are

You are a seasoned engineer with a deep passion for Information Security and a history of shipping production-ready software. You thrive in complex environments and are comfortable navigating intricate architectures like micro-services. To succeed in this role, you bring the following:

• Strong proficiency in modern high-level programming languages such as Java, Golang, JavaScript, or Python.
• Demonstrated experience evaluating code for vulnerabilities and performing black-box testing on web applications.
• Familiarity with static code analysis platforms like CodeQL.
• Excellent communication skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and drive security-focused decision-making.
• An ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them to complex, real-world deployments.
