What is this role?
We are looking for a Senior Application Security Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid position that can be based anywhere. Your primary mission is to protect our company, our partners, and our customers by ensuring the security of our deployed products. You will work within our broader Security Engineering team, which oversees all aspects of information security across our entire technology stack.
What will you do?
- Review contributions, proposals, and RFCs from colleagues, prioritizing the unblocking of others to ensure team progress.
- Collaborate with our leadership team to define and implement secure development practices across the organization.
- Act as a trusted advisor to our AI researchers and software engineers throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial design to final operation.
What makes you a great fit?
You should have a strong background in software engineering and a genuine passion for secure systems. We value candidates who can perform both whitebox and blackbox security reviews to identify vulnerabilities. You should be comfortable working with cloud-native systems, including container-based architectures, networking, and cloud security. Proficiency in a high-level language such as Rust, Python, or C++ is essential. Additionally, you should be able to design and operationalize software supply chain security practices. Strong communication skills in English are required, as is the ability to work asynchronously. Please note that you must be eligible for and willing to apply for national security clearance in your base country. Experience with AWS paradigms and Nix/NixOS is considered a plus.
