The opportunity

We are seeking a Principal Application Security Engineer to join our growing information security team in Chennai, India. In this role, you will take ownership of our application security program, ensuring our next-generation, cloud-native fintech systems remain secure. You will champion a secure by default culture, working across Azure, AWS, and GCP to implement automation and guide our engineering teams toward a robust DevSecOps model. This is a high-impact position where you will challenge the status quo and help define the future of our security architecture.

A day in the life

• Develop and maintain application security standards, threat modeling processes, and secure coding principles that guide our development teams.
• Integrate and mature security testing tools, such as SAST, DAST, and SCA, directly into our CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless protection.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, Engineering, and Quality Assurance, to provide expert guidance on vulnerability remediation and secure design.

Who you are

You are a senior-level professional with extensive hands-on experience in both application security and software development. You possess a deep understanding of web services, APIs, and cloud environments, and you are comfortable reading code across various languages. You are an expert in Agile and DevSecOps methodologies, with a strong ability to communicate complex security risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are fluent in English and thrive in a collaborative, hybrid work environment where you can act as both an independent owner of security initiatives and a mentor to your teammates.
