We are looking for a dedicated Application Reliability Engineer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. At Natera, we are global leaders in cell-free DNA testing, focusing on oncology, women’s health, and organ health to make personalized genetic diagnostics a standard of care. This role is essential to our mission, as you will be responsible for maintaining the high standards of our customer-facing applications to ensure patients receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities
- Identify and implement opportunities to stabilize our applications through automation and code improvements.
- Improve our system observability by optimizing how we handle metrics, logs, and traces.
- Conduct root cause analysis for critical production issues and lead the planning and execution of resolution steps.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should be a mid-level professional with a strong technical background and a passion for user experience. We require the following qualifications:
- A BS or MS degree in Computer Science.
- Between 3 and 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in AWS services, Linux, Containers, SQL, and scripting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to decompose complex systems and identify potential failure points.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and participate in an on-call rotation.
