Application Developer at Velan Consulting Pty Ltd

We are looking for a Senior Application Developer to join our Parliamentary Workflow System team. Our department manages the Parliamentary Document Management System, and we need motivated, independent professionals to help us maintain and enhance this critical infrastructure. You will work within a diverse, cross-functional environment that includes business analysts, testers, project managers, and client support staff to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key outcomes

• Develop and maintain .NET code to support our document management systems.
• Design, test, and support custom web and mobile applications while ensuring they meet specific business requirements.
• Collaborate with end-users and consultants to gather requirements and provide technical support or training.
• Manage backend database design and ensure all applications remain compatible with modern operating systems and software versions.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies to improve the performance and feature sets of our existing applications.
• Write clean, high-quality code and perform complex programming tasks to solve business challenges.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have at least 5 years of recent experience working in an enterprise environment. You must be proficient in English and possess the following technical skills:

• Extensive experience with C#, ASP.NET, and client-side frameworks.
• Strong background in SQL Server, including database management and complex query development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience using Team Foundation Server for version control and project management.
• Familiarity with Visual Studio, XML Web Services, and XSL/XSLT.
• Hands-on experience with Angular 2+ and npm.
• Knowledge of SharePoint 2013.
