We are backed by major industry leaders like GV, Airbus Ventures, and Kleiner Perkins, and we are looking for passionate people to join our collaborative team in Long Beach, California. If you want to work in a fast-paced environment where innovation is the standard, we would love to meet you.
What is this role?
We are seeking a Senior Antenna Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. This is a senior-level position for an experienced professional who is ready to take ownership of complex antenna systems and help drive our technical direction forward.
What will you do?
- You will design, prototype, and test antenna feed arrays while managing the full development life cycle from initial requirements to final manufacturing.
- You will investigate and evaluate various antenna feed technologies, such as printed patches and 3D-printed waveguides, to determine the best technical path for our systems.
- You will collaborate with our broader engineering team to integrate complete radio transceivers and develop the necessary calibration models to ensure optimal performance.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in electromagnetic theory and microwave circuits. We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- At least 5 years of professional experience paired with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- A deep, intuitive grasp of electromagnetics, including optics, refraction, diffraction, and Huygen’s principle.
- Hands-on experience designing phased array antennas and compact antennas like horns or patches.
- Proficiency with electromagnetic simulation software such as HFSS, CST, or FEKO, along with system simulation tools like Python or MATLAB.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Because of our work in space technology, you must meet ITAR requirements, meaning you are a U.S. citizen, a lawful permanent resident, or a protected individual.
What's in it for you?
Joining our team means you will be at the forefront of space technology innovation. We offer a collaborative and inclusive work environment where your contributions will directly impact the future of space commercialization. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and are committed to maintaining a diverse workplace where every individual is respected and valued.
