The opportunity

We are looking for a Junior Android Software Engineer to join our Commerce Engineering team in Palo Alto, CA. This is a hybrid role where you will play a vital part in bringing our drone delivery services to life for our partners and customers. You will contribute to the development of robust applications, APIs, and tools that power our logistics network. We value engineers who take full ownership of their projects, from the initial design phase through to implementation, ensuring that our systems remain reliable and user-focused.

A day in the life

• You will translate our cutting-edge drone technology into functional, user-facing features that provide real value to our customers and business partners.
• You will design and build intuitive interfaces, working across the full stack to integrate front-end designs with backend RPCs and complex async pipelines.
• You will manage the entire lifecycle of new features, collaborating closely with product managers to conceptualize, develop, and launch solutions that improve our delivery ecosystem.

Who you are

You are a motivated engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and possesses a strong desire to learn. You have a solid foundation in software development and are eager to tackle difficult problems with independence and guidance from mentors. Your background includes:

• Up to 5 years of experience in Android design and development.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong English communication skills and a proven ability to work effectively within a team.
• A detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to following industry best practices.
