We are looking for a dedicated Android SDK Engineer to join our team in India. At CleverTap, we provide a leading customer engagement platform powered by TesseractDB, helping over 2,000 global brands like Domino’s, Zomato, and Tesco deliver personalized experiences at scale.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, and build our SDK to meet specific business requirements.
Develop applications for both native Android and hybrid environments, including React Native and Flutter.
Maintain high standards for performance, quality, and responsiveness across all SDKs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and ship new features while improving developer documentation.
Perform manual QA and regression testing to ensure product reliability.
Write and maintain automated tests to uphold the highest code quality.
Stay current with the mobile landscape, architecture trends, and emerging technologies.

Must-haves

3 to 5 years of professional development experience in Android, including work with React Native or Flutter.
A degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
Strong grasp of Android OS architecture, Java, or Kotlin, along with solid computer science fundamentals.
A portfolio featuring at least one Android app, either on the Google Play Store or hosted on GitHub.
Proficiency in Git version control, including experience with GitHub and Bitbucket.
Experience with unit-test automation frameworks and Gradle task automation using CI/CD tools like Bitrise, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions.
A first-principles approach to solving complex technical problems.
Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves

Experience working within the SaaS domain.
Background in building products driven by data and user insights.
Programming experience with JavaScript.
Prior exposure to working with WebSockets.
Familiarity with additional hybrid frameworks such as Unity or Cordova.
