The role
We are looking for a Senior Android Mobile Engineer to join us in a full-time, hybrid capacity. This is an ideal position for a seasoned professional with at least 5 years of mobile engineering experience who is eager to build elegant, scalable solutions. You will play a vital role in shaping our mobile strategy and mentoring others as we continue to grow our platform.
Core responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and refine our native Android application while ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with security, infrastructure, and design teams to build and scale core services like push notifications and localization.
- Improve our mobile infrastructure by maintaining build pipelines, release processes, and automated testing environments.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong technical foundation and a collaborative mindset. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of mobile software engineering experience, including 3 years specifically with Kotlin and Android.
- Proven ability to partner effectively across different teams and departments.
- Deep familiarity with mobile infrastructure, including CI/CD, automated testing, and release management.
- Experience building common components that improve scalability and maintainability.
- A self-driven approach with the ability to navigate greenfield projects and mentor junior team members.
- Bonus points for proficiency in MVVM architecture, Compose, GraphQL, and mobile analytics tools.
Compensation and benefits
We offer a competitive salary range based on your location. For candidates in San Francisco and New York, the target range is $174,000 to $200,000 USD. For candidates in Denver, the target range is $144,000 to $170,000 USD. Final offers are determined by your specific experience and expertise. Beyond compensation, you will enjoy the flexibility of our hybrid work model.
