As a fast-growing tech unicorn and a Forbes-recognized startup employer, we are looking for an Android Mobile Engineer Apprentice to join our team, contribute to real-world features, and help us continue building a people-first culture.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-performance mobile applications that integrate smoothly with our backend systems.
- Collaborate within a small, multi-functional team alongside designers, product managers, and data scientists.
- Design and implement solutions for complex technical challenges with guidance from experienced mentors.
- Participate in a three-month program focused on gaining hands-on engineering experience.
- Work on the same impactful projects as our permanent engineering staff.
Must-haves
- A solid grasp of functional or object-oriented programming.
- Experience with Kotlin and Android mobile development.
- Familiarity with modern app architecture, such as MVVM or MVC.
- Proficiency with version control systems like Git.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Must be graduating from college within one month and available to work 40 hours per week.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with full-stack development, including JavaScript, React, or Swift.
- Exposure to both Android and iOS development environments.
- A history of releasing personal applications.
- Knowledge of test writing and quality assurance practices.
