We are currently looking for an Android Lead to join our team on a contractor basis. Intelliware is a Toronto-based business and technology consulting firm with over 30 years of experience in delivering custom software solutions. We pride ourselves on our disciplined engineering practices and deep technical expertise. In this role, you will help us launch a new mobile service offering, working within a collaborative, cross-functional environment to build everything from initial prototypes to high-volume production applications.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and clear direction to both our internal team and our clients.
- Facilitate important design and architecture discussions while developing innovative mobile solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable code and collaborate with team members to refine features and implementation strategies.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in mobile engineering and leadership. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Proven experience leading the development and successful release of native Android applications.
- Deep expertise in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- A solid understanding of MVVM architecture and proficiency with Android Studio.
- A passion for User Experience best practices and the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide other developers.
- Bonus points if you have experience with Agile methodologies, web technologies like HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript, or experience with social network APIs.
