What is this role?
We are seeking a Lead Android Engineer to join our team on a contract basis for a period of 3 to 4 months. This is an on-site position based in India, where you will work alongside our talented engineering team to push mobile technology to its limits. We are looking for an experienced professional who is ready to take ownership of our mobile architecture and help us revolutionize the fintech industry.
What will you do?
- Translate complex designs and wireframes into high-quality, maintainable code.
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Java and Kotlin components.
- Ensure the best possible application responsiveness and performance while identifying and resolving bottlenecks or bugs.
What makes you a great fit?
You should have at least 5 years of experience developing Android applications using Kotlin and Java. We are looking for someone who understands the nuances of mobile architecture and is passionate about creating high-quality products. Your background should include the following:
- Deep expertise in MVVM and Clean Architecture.
- Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP), including shared code interoperability.
- Strong knowledge of Android Jetpack components, Navigation Graph, and Work Manager.
- Proficiency in multi-threaded programming, Coroutines, and Flow.
- Experience with dependency injection frameworks like Koin or Hilt.
- A solid understanding of security best practices, including data encryption, keychain storage, and certificate pinning.
- Proven ability to write comprehensive unit and UI tests to ensure application quality.
- Experience publishing apps to the Google Play Store and working within CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a geographically distributed team.
