We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join our team in a full-time, hybrid capacity within the United States. At Hydrow, we combine the talents of athletes, creatives, and engineers to create a unique fitness experience. Our Live Outdoor Reality rowing machines bring the water to our members at home, and we are currently disrupting the fitness industry by building engaging, high-quality content. Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize innovative features for our mobile applications and connected fitness hardware in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including iOS and API developers, to solve complex technical problems and refine existing software.
- Contribute to code reviews and quality management processes to ensure our growing member base receives a seamless and reliable experience.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should be a seasoned professional with a strong background in Android development. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working both independently and as part of a high-performing team. Your technical toolkit should include proficiency with the following:
- Android Studio and Kotlin.
- Testing frameworks such as Espresso and JUnit.
- Jetpack Compose and various Jetpack libraries.
- Dependency injection with Dagger.
- Networking with Retrofit.
