We are a profitable, growing company that prioritizes building a healthy business, and we are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join our elite, small team. You will have the unique opportunity to take deep ownership of our Android product as one of only two engineers dedicated to the platform, helping us scale our impact to millions of learners worldwide.

What you'll be doing

• Take full ownership of new features from initial concept to final delivery, contributing code across our mobile platforms to ensure our learners have the best possible experience.
• Maintain a broad perspective on both technical architecture and business goals, ensuring that we are always building the right things in the right way.
• Exercise significant technical authority and autonomy, acting as a key decision-maker while collaborating closely with our product, design, and data teams.

What you'll bring

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in mobile development and a passion for product-minded engineering. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in building mobile applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• A collaborative mindset with a desire to work closely with designers and product managers to solve user problems.
• The ability to write clear, maintainable code for humans rather than machines, avoiding unnecessary complexity.
• Fluency in English to communicate effectively within our team.
• A high level of comfort with mobile ecosystems, including experience or interest in iOS development.
• A proactive approach to exploring AI tools and workflows to enhance your personal productivity.
