The role
We are searching for a Senior Android Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid position based in Spain, where you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our mobile applications. We are looking for an experienced professional who is ready to take ownership of complex technical challenges while collaborating with a diverse, global team.
Core responsibilities
- Design and implement high-quality software solutions while continuously improving the usability of our Android applications.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, including backend engineers, to ensure seamless integration and product success.
- Mentor fellow developers and contribute to architectural decision-making to ensure our technology scales alongside our rapid business growth.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong technical foundation and a proactive approach to problem-solving. We require the following qualifications:
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 4 years of professional, full-time engineering experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Kotlin and Java, with deep knowledge of the Android SDK.
- Practical experience with reactive programming, specifically RxJava and Kotlin coroutines.
- A solid understanding of Jetpack Compose, Dependency Injection tools like Dagger or Hilt, and modern software architecture.
- The ability to write robust unit tests, with a preference for those experienced in UI testing.
- Strong communication skills in English.
