Since our founding in 2016, we have grown into a global organization with over 600 creators across major hubs in San Francisco, London, Melbourne, and Los Angeles. We cover more than 250 professional and collegiate teams, producing thousands of in-depth reports and over 120 podcasts. We are currently looking for a mid-level Android Engineer to join our Scores and Stats team. In this role, you will help shape the mobile experience for our users by managing league schedules, box scores, and player data integrations.
Key outcomes
- Collaborate closely with our design and product teams to craft beautiful, high-performance user interfaces.
- Architect and develop our Android application with a focus on scalability, long-term maintainability, and code quality.
- Ensure app stability by writing comprehensive unit and functional tests.
- Proactively identify, debug, and resolve production issues reported by our users.
- Contribute to the product roadmap by brainstorming new features and improvements.
- Refactor existing codebases to enhance development efficiency and overall system health.
- Participate in a cross-functional environment where your input on processes and features is valued and encouraged.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional experience in native Android development, with strong proficiency in Kotlin.
- A sharp eye for product and design, with a genuine interest in influencing the direction of our features.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
- Please note that this position is available for candidates residing in Australia only.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience working within an early-stage startup environment, particularly regarding challenges related to growth and scale.
