At Envoy, we help companies simplify their workplace operations by providing tools for visitor management, desk booking, and facility security across 16,000 global locations. We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join our Visitors team and help us build intuitive, high-performance mobile experiences that our customers rely on every day.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to create and refine core product features.
- Take ownership of the full development and release cycle for our Android application.
- Design robust application components that focus on scalability, usability, and performance.
- Perform technical design and code reviews to maintain high quality across the engineering organization.
- Analyze metrics to evaluate the impact of your work and improve our development velocity.
Must-haves
- Over 3 years of professional experience in Android development with Kotlin.
- A track record of publishing and maintaining applications on the Google Play Store.
- Strong understanding of modern mobile architectures such as MVVM, MVI, or clean architecture.
- Proficiency in functional asynchronous programming using Coroutines.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make sound technical decisions despite ambiguity.
- Fluency in English.
Nice-to-haves
- Practical experience working with GraphQL.
- Familiarity with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), iBeacons, or location-based services.
- Experience managing and contributing to large, complex mobile codebases.
Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000. In addition to compensation, we offer:
- Equity compensation for all full-time team members.
- A hybrid work model, requiring presence at our San Francisco headquarters at least three days per week.
