The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Android Engineer II to join us on-site in the United States. In this full-time role, you will have the chance to shape the core technology that powers our platform. Depending on your interests, you might join our Activation team to focus on user onboarding and retention, or our Activities team to work on the high-traffic systems that process millions of athletic uploads every day. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners, including designers, product managers, and other engineers, to build seamless and delightful experiences that impact millions of athletes worldwide.
A day in the life
- You will design and implement robust, maintainable features using Kotlin, ensuring that our mobile applications remain smooth and responsive for our users.
- You will partner with fellow engineers to refine our API design and maintain high standards for code quality through rigorous unit testing and modular architecture.
- You will mentor teammates and lead technical discussions, sharing your expertise in Android development to help the team grow and adopt modern practices like Jetpack Compose.
Who you are
You are a seasoned engineer who is passionate about mobile technology and the athlete experience. You communicate effectively in English and thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- You have significant experience building and maintaining production-level Android applications using Kotlin.
- You are comfortable working within large, modularized codebases and have a strong grasp of dependency injection.
- You possess a product-focused mindset and enjoy solving real-world challenges that improve how athletes interact with their data.
- You have experience with GraphQL and are always looking to stay current with the latest Android trends and technologies.
- You value clean, testable code and enjoy collaborating across different disciplines to ship high-quality features.
