We are looking for a Lead Android Developer to join our team at Lab49, a specialist strategy, design, and technology consultancy founded in 2002. We focus on delivering high-end execution for the financial services industry, and you will work alongside our experts to build sophisticated applications that solve complex client challenges.
Responsibilities
- Design and build advanced Android applications specifically for the financial services sector.
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, and leadership to deploy software to enterprise and public app stores.
- Champion robust software architecture and engineering best practices across our teams.
- Transform complex requirements into elegant, high-quality technical solutions.
- Ensure application reliability and usability by focusing on edge cases and performance optimization.
- Promote test-driven development to deliver resilient, high-quality code.
- Identify and resolve defects while continuously enhancing overall application performance.
Must-haves
- At least 4 years of professional experience working with the Android SDK.
- Proven track record as a key contributor on at least two successful Android application projects.
- Experience publishing at least one sophisticated original app to a public store or an enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and deep knowledge of the Android ecosystem.
- Experience integrating remote data using REST and JSON.
- Familiarity with third-party libraries, APIs, and current mobile industry trends.
- Experience working effectively within an Agile environment.
- A college degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Benefits
The base salary range for this position is $140,000 to $170,000. Placement within this range depends on your individual skills and relevant experience. Beyond the base salary, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on company and personal performance.
