What you bring

We are looking for a Senior Android Developer to join our Fieldmargin team on a Full Time remote basis. You will work on a mature, production-ready Android codebase that blends Java and Kotlin, continuously adding new features while refactoring and modernising existing code. Your three main responsibilities will be implementing new functionality using industry best practices, collaborating with UX designers and the iOS team on shared features, and ensuring code stability through automated testing and tools such as Fastlane and CircleCI. The role is based Anywhere.

Requirements

You bring solid experience building Android applications and understand the Play Store publishing process. You are comfortable with Java essentials such as multi-threading and garbage collection, and you have practical knowledge of Kotlin, Android Architecture Components, lifecycle management, and architecture patterns including MVVM. Familiarity with local data persistence using Realm, Room or SQLite, and networking with Retrofit, is important, as is experience with multi-threading approaches such as Coroutines or RxJava. Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment where new projects arise quickly are essential. Fluency in English is required. An ideal candidate enjoys exploring new technologies to solve interesting user-experience and data challenges while maintaining clean, reliable code.
